Power Half Hour To Stop Universal Vouchers!

Public schools are integral to the families they serve, and we know well-resourced public schools are the pillars of thriving communities. Universal Vouchers (Senate Bill 202 / House Bill 1) would result in a massive transfer of taxpayer funds to unaccountable for-profit voucher schools. It would redirect $4 billion in state funds in the 2023-2024 school year from public school districts to private education. This comes at a time when public education is already underfunded in Florida. Our state received an “F” for its per-pupil funding, which is roughly $4,000 below the national average. Join us every Tuesday and Thursday for a power half-hour to contact key lawmakers to stop universal vouchers!
